ICE cotton futures remained weak on Thursday, with contracts falling between 34 to 52 points. Crude oil prices fell by $0.97, and the U.S. Dollar Index declined by 0.505 to close at 99.260.
After the trade court ruled Trump’s tariffs illegal, the appellate court imposed a temporary stay on the decision.
On Wednesday, The Seam recorded 440 bales sold online at an average price of 66.35 cents per pound. On May 28, the Cotlook A Index fell 30 points to 77.95. ICE certified cotton stocks decreased by 4,654 bales through decertification on May 28, now totaling 41,863 bales.
Last Thursday, the USDA adjusted the Adjusted World Price (AWP) down by 38 points to 53.52 cents per pound. No new update was issued on Thursday.
