International Cotton Market Update
ICE cotton futures closed in the red on Tuesday, with early-month contracts falling by 25 to 30 points. External factors were mixed, as crude oil futures gained 75 cents per barrel, while the U.S. dollar index rose 560 points.
The Seam reported online sales of 12,432 bales on January 27, with an average price of 59.98 cents per pound. ICE-certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 218 bales on Monday.
Cotlook A Index increased 65 points on January 24, reaching 78.55 cents per pound.
The USDA Adjusted World Price (AWP) dropped 27 points last Thursday, settling at 53.71 cents per pound.
