International Maize Market
★ U.S. corn exports totaled 1.014 million tons for the week of April 24, the lowest level in the past three weeks.
★ Old crop corn exports were estimated between 0.7–1.5 million tons, with Mexico being the largest buyer at 450,000 tons, followed by Colombia at 166,000 tons.
★ New crop bookings crossed 200,000 tons, with Mexico buying 184,000 tons and Japan 56,000 tons.

Domestic Maize Market
★ India has seen bumper maize production for the past three seasons. Due to rising ethanol demand, prices had reached ₹2,700–2,800 per quintal but are now beginning to decline.  
★ Bihar is reporting a record maize crop this season. While some regions faced losses, overall production is higher than last year.  
★ With the government permitting the use of alternatives like sugar, C molasses, and rice for ethanol production, maize demand for ethanol has started to drop, putting downward pressure on prices.  
★ According to IGrain India, maize prices may decline further in the future due to reduced demand compared to last year.
