Markets will be closed Wednesday for Christmas, with trading resuming Thursday at 8:30 a.m. CST. The weekly export sales report will be released Friday due to the holiday.
Weather Outlook:
Next week, most of Brazil is expected to receive normal rainfall, while drought conditions worsen in southern Brazil and Argentina. Argentina is forecasted to face additional dry weather in early January.
Export Data:
For the week ending December 19, soy export inspections totaled 1.747 million metric tons (64.2 million bushels), up 56.1% from the same week last year and 3% from the previous week. Total marketing year shipments have reached 26.998 million metric tons (992 million bushels), a 21.1% increase compared to the previous year.
