International Soybean Market
USDA this morning reported a private export sale of 228,606 metric tons of soybeans to Mexico, all for 2025/26.
According to the NASS Crop Progress report, by Sunday, 82% of the US soybean crop had set pods, in line with the average. Crop conditions held steady at 68% good/excellent, though the Brugler500 index slipped 1 point to 373. Illinois ratings were up 8 points, Iowa, Michigan, and the Dakotas improved by 2, and Nebraska was up 3 points. Some deterioration was noted in fringe states, particularly in the Southeast, while Ohio ratings fell 2 points.
The annual ProFarmer Crop Tour started Monday in Ohio and South Dakota. Pod counts in Ohio averaged 1,287.28, up 4.66% from last year and 6.84% above the 3-year average. South Dakota’s pod counts averaged 1,188.45, 15.84% higher than last year and 22.51% above the 3-year average. Results from Nebraska and Indiana will be reported tonight.
ANEC estimates Brazilian soybean exports for August at 8.9 MMT, slightly higher than last week’s 8.8 MMT.
