The NOAA 7-day QPF map projects dryness across eastern regions, with less than ¼ inch of rainfall expected in the ECB and about ½ inch in parts of the WCB.
Export Sales estimates suggest old crop soybean sales for the week ending August 14 could range from a net reduction of 300,000 MT to sales of 300,000 MT. New crop sales are expected between 0.4 and 1 MMT. Soybean meal sales are projected from a 50,000 MT reduction to sales of 450,000 MT, while soybean oil could see cancellations between 10,000 and 15,000 MT.
On Day 2 of the ProFarmer Crop Tour, Nebraska soybean pod counts averaged 1,348.31, up 15% from last year and 19.1% above the 3-year average. Indiana pod counts averaged 1,376.59, down 2.31% from last year but still 6.3% above the 3-year average.
