International Soybean Market
According to the USDA's Export Inspections report, 439,341 metric tons (16.14 million bushels) of soybeans were exported during the week ending April 24. This was down 21.5% from the previous week but 59.1% higher than the same week in 2024. China was the top destination with 205,463 MT, followed by Mexico with 61,071 MT, and Germany with 57,069 MT.
In the marketing year to date, total soybean exports have reached 43.12 million metric tons (1.584 billion bushels), 11.3% higher than the same period last year.
According to the Soybean Crop Progress report, 18% of the U.S. soybean crop had been planted by Sunday. This represents a 10-percentage point increase on the week and is ahead of the 5-year average pace of 12%.
