NOAA forecasts rain across much of the country in the coming week. Late on Tuesday, the US and China agreed on a framework deal to reduce tensions between the two countries. Chinese tariffs on US goods remain at 10 percent for now. Although no formal trade deal was reached, this development indicates easing tensions between the two nations. Export sales data will be released on Thursday morning. The trade is expecting old crop bookings of 100,000 to 500,000 metric tons in the week ending June 5, with new crop sales estimated at 0 to 200,000 metric tons. A Bloomberg survey of analysts projects old crop US soybean ending stocks to rise by 30 million bushels to an average of 353 million bushels. For the new crop, analysts expect a slight increase to 298 million bushels. Little change is expected in South American numbers. Brazil’s production is projected to rise by 0.3 million metric tons to 169.3 million metric tons, while Argentina’s production may increase by 0.1 million metric tons to 49.1 million metric tons.
