Export sales data for the week ending June 6 showed just 61,394 metric tons of old crop soybean sales, the lowest level of the marketing year. Indonesia purchased 69,400 metric tons while Egypt bought 58,500 metric tons. There was a net reduction of 260,700 metric tons in sales to unknown destinations as these switched to known destinations. Sales for 2025/26 totaled 58,086 metric tons, the highest in four weeks. Combined sales for both old and new crop years were the lowest since February 2024. Soybean meal export business for 2024/25 totaled 214,533 metric tons, the lowest in five weeks. Sales for 2025/26 were 46,508 metric tons. Soybean oil sales totaled 5,585 metric tons for 2024/25 with net reductions of 1,488 metric tons for 2025/26. Total sales of 4,097 metric tons were the lowest since February. The WASDE report released this morning showed no changes in the US old and new crop supply and demand balance sheets. Old crop stocks were left at 350 million bushels with new crop stocks at 298 million bushels. Globally, old crop stocks were raised by 1.02 million metric tons to 124.2 million metric tons with the 2025/26 outlook up 0.97 million metric tons to 125.3 million metric tons. The USDA monthly report left Argentina’s production estimate at 49 million metric tons and Brazil at 169 million metric tons. However, CONAB raised Brazil’s soybean crop estimate this morning by 1.26 million metric tons to 169.6 million metric tons. The Buenos Aires Grains Exchange estimates Argentina’s crop at 50.3 million metric tons.
