U.S. wheat prices remain competitive on the world market, as reflected in recent Export Sales reports. Traders are expecting wheat sales of 500,000 to 800,000 MT for the week ending August 14.
Sovecon raised its Russian wheat crop estimate slightly to 85.4 MMT, up 0.2 MMT from the previous figure due to improved crops in Siberia and the Urals. Syria has issued a tender for 200,000 MT of wheat amid lower domestic supplies.
