Export sales data for the week ending January 1 will be released on Thursday morning. Analysts are expecting wheat export sales of 200,000 to 500,000 metric tons for the 2025/26 season, while bookings for the 2026/27 season are seen between 0 and 100,000 metric tons.
USDA will release its Winter Wheat Seedings report on Monday. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg expect total winter wheat acreage at 32.4 million acres, with Hard Red Winter wheat seen at 23.0 million acres, Soft Red Winter wheat at 5.9 million acres, and white wheat at 3.5 million acres.
China’s Vice Premier stated overnight that the country’s winter wheat acreage remains steady, although planting conditions in some regions have been weak.
