Madhya Pradesh Government to Procure Moong and Urad at MSP from Thursday: CM
★ Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on social media platform X that the Madhya Pradesh government will begin procurement of moong and urad from farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) starting Thursday. According to the CM, the state government has sent a proposal to the central government seeking approval for the procurement.
★ For the 2024–25 kharif marketing season (October–September), the MSP for moong has been fixed at Rs. 8,682 per 100 kg — the highest among all pulses. The MSP for urad has been set at Rs. 7,400 per 100 kg.
★ Farmer registration for the procurement will begin on June 19.
