Kuala Lumpur. While the official report from the government body, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (Ampob), will be released on October 10th, detailing Malaysian palm oil production,
exports, domestic consumption, and outstanding surplus stocks for September, forecasts for September export figures are being released by industry and trade analyst firms, including Amspec.
According to Amspec data, Malaysia's crude palm oil (CPO) exports during September 1-30, 2025, fell to 3.20 lakh tonnes from 3.30 lakh tonnes compared to August 1-31, 2025. Shipments of RBD palm oil increased from 1.26 lakh tonnes to 1.63 lakh tonnes.
RBD palmolein exports increased from 2.78 lakh tonnes to 2.91 lakh tonnes. Crude palm kernel oil exports improved from 26 thousand tonnes to 33 thousand tonnes, and palm fatty acid distillate exports jumped from 30 thousand tonnes to 72 thousand tonnes.
Furthermore, exports of RBD palm stearin reached 1.29 lakh tonnes in September, compared to 1.30 lakh tonnes in August.
This brings Malaysia's total exports to 13.42 lakh tonnes during the month of August. It is worth noting that Malaysia is the world's second largest producer and exporter of palm oil after Indonesia. India imports large quantities of palm oil from Malaysia. The palm oil growing season in Malaysia is now coming to an end.
