Monsoon Gains Full Throttle

The monsoon has played a dramatic game this year — arriving early and advancing rapidly at first, then suddenly pausing. But now, it has regained momentum and is swiftly progressing across the country.
By June 12, the monsoon had reached parts of northern Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. As of June 17, it has already covered major regions of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar.
The rapidly advancing monsoon clearly indicates that the coming days will be crucial for agriculture.
Farmers’ hopes have revived — Kharif sowing is set to pick up pace.
According to I-Grain, if this pace continues, the monsoon is expected to cover the entire northern India by the end of June.
