Monsoon trough is being formed in many areas

New Delhi. A non-monsoon trough from the south-western part of Uttar Pradesh moved ahead and merged with the core monsoon trough on September 10, which was in the middle of the depression. In another incident,
the coastal trough suddenly became alive and active and its mobility and density started increasing along the western coast. Its tip is spread from southern Gujarat to central Kerala.
This clearly indicates that the peak time of monsoon has not ended yet and its activity and mobility will remain intact in the coming days.
Meanwhile, an upcoming western disturbance can also cause trouble, which is currently present in the central part of Pakistan and has merged with a cyclonic circulation over southern Gujarat.
This western disturbance can move eastward and reach the northwestern part of India and join with the depression and low pressure area.
As a result of this possible merger, there may be heavy rains and strong wind flow in south-western Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Gradually its remnants may weaken and reach central and eastern India.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in western Madhya Pradesh, northern and southern Gujarat, Gandhinagar, Vidarbha,
remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Ghats of central Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and other border areas from 11 to 15 September, which may increase the risk for Kharif crops.
