Mozambique Makes Major Change in Pigeon Pea Trade Policy
★ Until now, the trade and export of pigeon peas (tur dal) from Mozambique were restricted to a few select traders or companies. This system limited market access for smaller or independent traders and caused several hurdles in the export process.
★ However, under the new regulations, any individual or trader with the necessary resources and infrastructure will now be allowed to trade and export pigeon peas.
★ This change is expected to streamline and facilitate pigeon pea exports from Mozambique.
