मॉनसून सीज़न सामान्य से 8% अधिक वर्षा के साथ समाप्त : IMD

IMD के प्रमुख ने कहा कि देश में इस बार मॉनसून "काफी सफल" रहा, हालांकि इसमें बादल फटने, भूस्खलन और कीचड़ धंसने जैसी आपदाएँ भी देखी गईं।

देश में जून से सितंबर के बीच कुल 937.2 मिमी बारिश हुई, जो सामान्य 868.6 मिमी से 8% अधिक है।

उत्तर-पश्चिम भारत: 747.9 मिमी वर्षा, सामान्य से 27.3% अधिक (2001 के बाद सबसे अधिक)।

मध्य भारत: 1125.3 मिमी, सामान्य से 15.1% अधिक।

दक्षिण प्रायद्वीप: सामान्य से 9.9% अधिक।

पूर्व और उत्तर-पूर्व भारत: 1089.9 मिमी, सामान्य से 20% कम — 1901 के बाद दूसरा सबसे कम।

पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र में पिछले 20 वर्षों से वर्षा में गिरावट का रुझान देखा जा रहा है।

Monsoon season ends with 8% above-normal rainfall: IMD

The IMD chief said this year’s monsoon was “quite successful,” though it was also marked by disasters such as cloudbursts, landslides, and mudslides.

From June to September, the country received a total of 937.2 mm of rainfall, which is 8% higher than the normal of 868.6 mm.

Northwest India: 747.9 mm rainfall, 27.3% above normal (highest since 2001).

Central India: 1125.3 mm, 15.1% above normal.

Southern Peninsula: 9.9% above normal.

East & Northeast India: 1089.9 mm, 20% below normal — the second lowest since 1901.

Rainfall in the northeast region has shown a declining trend over the past 20 years.
