★ ब्राजील के कई गन्ना उत्पादक क्षेत्रों में भयंकर आग लगने से उद्योग की चिंताएं बढ़ी।

★ गत सप्ताह ब्राजील के साओ पाउलो में आग के 2000 वारदातें दर्ज की गयी जिससे 60 हजार हेक्टेयर फसल को नुकसान पहुंचा।

★ एक एजेंसी के अनुसार इस आग से 50 लाख टन चीनी का उत्पादन घट सकता है।
