★ सेन्सस रिपोर्ट के अनुसार अमरीका ने मई में करीब 60 लाख टन मक्का का निर्यात किया।

★ भारत में एथनोल की डिमांड निकलने व बिहार की फसल की स्टॉकिंग करने के बाद कीमतों में देखी गयी तेजी।
★ जब तक एथनोल डिमांड बनी रहेगी और गन्ना रस द्वारा एथनोल उत्पादन पर्याप्त मात्रा में शुरू नहीं होगा तब तक मक्का में तेजी का सिलसिला जारी रह सकता है।
★ कई मिलों ने गन्ना पेराई बंद की तो गन्ना रस से एथनोल उत्पादन नहीं हो पायेगा परन्तु स्टॉक में पर्याप्त मात्रा में चीनी उपलब्ध है जिससे एथनोल की मंजूरी मानसून को देखकर दी जा सकती है।

★ As long as the ethanol demand remains and ethanol production from sugarcane juice does not start in sufficient quantity, the trend of rise in corn may continue.
★ Many mills have stopped crushing sugarcane, so ethanol will not be produced from sugarcane juice, but there is sufficient amount of sugar available in stock, due to which approval for ethanol can be given after looking at the monsoon.
