Groundnut – 10%
Groundnut Kernels – 5%

Impact on India
★ The increased duties are likely to have the most significant effect on raw cashew. India imported 30,964 tons from Burkina Faso between April and July this year, compared to 27,749 tons during the same period last year.
★ Total imports from Burkina Faso in the previous fiscal year were 53,010 tons.
★ With the new duties, India is expected to scrutinize cashew imports from Burkina Faso more closely, which may lead to sourcing from other countries.
★ Soybean imports from Burkina Faso stood at 2,476 tons in the previous fiscal year, compared to 37,105 tons in FY 23-24.
Soybean imports were halted due to weak domestic prices.
