Peas
★ The pea market remained relatively stable this week.
★ Yellow peas are trading around $6.50/bu (picked up), while some delivered options are available in the $7.25–7.75/bu range.
★ Green peas are trading at $9.50–10.00/bu picked up for #2 quality.
★ Maple peas are seeing slightly more interest, with bids also around $9.50–10.00/bu picked up.
★ Lower prices are supporting end-use demand, opening up some shipping opportunities.
★ Pea values are expected to remain near current levels until there is clarity on demand changes from China and India.

Kabuli Chickpeas
★ According to StatsCan, chickpea acreage is up 15% over last year, potentially the largest crop since the 2001/02 season.
★ Harvest progress is 43% complete in Saskatchewan and 71% in Alberta.
★ Global supply is ample.
★ Prices currently reflect heavy supply, but quality concerns could create opportunities.
★ If damage becomes widespread, good quality #2 Kabuli chickpeas may see a price increase.
★ Higher prices could push North America out of the market, while lower prices may support trade.
★ #2 Large Kabuli chickpeas are bidding at $0.30–0.31/lb FOB farm, while feed quality is around $0.13/lb FOB.

Lentils
★ The lentil market remained stable for the second consecutive week.
★ Large green lentils: 27–28¢/lb FOB farm
★ Red lentils: 23.5¢/lb delivered
★ Small green lentils: 21–22¢/lb FOB
★ Slow farmer selling is helping to support prices.
★ Good production has resulted in ample lentil supply globally.
