News Capsule: Madhya Pradesh: Government procurement of soybeans from October 24 to January 15
★ In Madhya Pradesh, the Central Government’s Bhavantar Payment Scheme is being implemented to ensure soybean farmers receive a fair price for their produce. Under this scheme, procurement of soybeans will take place in the state from October 24 to January 15.
★ This year, the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for soybeans has been fixed at ₹5,238 per quintal. The procurement will be done at the model rate in mandis, and if the market price falls below the MSP, the difference will be directly credited to farmers’ bank accounts.
★ To facilitate the process, all necessary arrangements have been made at procurement centers, and administrative teams will be on-site to prevent any irregularities.
