Plan to Revive Old Sugar Mills in Bihar

Patna. Bihar's Cooperative Minister has announced that as part of the state government's 'Seven Resolutions' program, two sugar mills in the state will be operated by the Cooperative Department,
while another new sugar mill will be established. The Bihar government has decided to revive two sugar mills that have been closed for several years.
According to the Cooperative Minister, a proposal to this effect has been received, and a public announcement will be made as soon as it is approved by the state cabinet.
The Cooperative Department has already begun preparations in this regard. The state government has included the plan to revive old or closed sugar mills in its 'Seven Resolutions' program.
The responsibility for operating the two sugar mills has been entrusted to the Cooperative Department.
The two closed units that are planned for revival include the Sakri sugar mill in Madhubani district and the Raiyam sugar mill in Darbhanga district.
The department is currently busy forming cooperative societies. This will not only benefit sugarcane farmers but also create new employment opportunities.
