Price of Sela rice rises sharply due to strong

It seems that the sharp rise in the price of Sela rice, especially due to strong demand from Bangladesh, is being driven by multiple factors.
The increased imports of Indian rice into Bangladesh, including government-level imports and orders from private traders, is playing a significant role in this price surge.
The domestic market in Bangladesh is experiencing high demand, which is reflected in the significant rise in prices there,
especially in the fine-quality rice category. Importers are reportedly placing orders for around 50,000 tons of Sela rice per month, anticipating continued strong demand.
The price increase in India, where Sela rice prices have risen by Rs 10 per kg in just a few weeks, could be linked to this demand.
If Bangladesh’s demand continues at the same pace, the price may climb even higher. Similarly, the price of Minipet rice has gone up considerably from Rs 43 to Rs 53 per kg in the last month, marking an all-time high.
The global rice market could continue to see price fluctuations, especially with Bangladesh's efforts to stock up for the upcoming Ramzan period.
This could keep pushing prices upward as Bangladesh works to avoid a severe shortage and stabilize its supply.
