★ The central government has stated that procurement targets may be increased if needed. It also assured that the procurement of urad (black gram) will be approved as soon as a proposal is received.
★ Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister has requested MSP procurement of maize, which has been sown over approximately 4.80 lakh hectares during the summer season.
