Rabi Crop Acreage Reaches 60.53 Lakh Hectares in Rajasthan

Jaipur. Farmers in the western state of Rajasthan are experiencing tremendous enthusiasm and interest in cultivating Rabi crops. As a result, the total area under cultivation has increased to 60.53 lakh hectares as of November 10, 2025, representing a 9.87 lakh hectare increase from the 50.69 lakh hectare area during the same period last year. The vigorous sowing of Rabi crops is still ongoing.

According to the latest data from the State Agriculture Department, during the current Rabi season, compared to last year, the area under wheat cultivation in Rajasthan has jumped from 3.77 lakh hectares to 7.32 lakh hectares,

and the area under barley has increased from 95 thousand hectares to 1.68 lakh hectares. The total area under cereal crops has also increased from 4.73 lakh hectares to 9 lakh hectares.

Similarly, the total production area of ​​pulses crops increased from 12.43 lakh hectares last year to 16 lakh hectares this time.

Under this, the sowing area of ​​gram jumped from 12.24 lakh hectares to 15.89 lakh hectares, whereas the area of ​​other pulses fell from 19 thousand hectares to 11 thousand hectares.

The production area of ​​oilseed crops increased from 28.69 lakh hectares last year to 30.46 lakh hectares this time.

Under this, the sowing area of ​​mustard jumped from 28.06 lakh hectares to 29.41 lakh hectares and the area of ​​taramira increased from 56 thousand hectares to 99 thousand hectares. Rajasthan is the major producer of mustard and barley.
