Rabi crops' MSP increased from Rs 130 to Rs 300 per quintal

New Delhi. The central government has increased the minimum support price (MSP) of Rabi crops from Rs 130 to Rs 300 per quintal for the marketing season 2025-26.

The lowest increase of Rs 130 has been made in the support price of barley and the highest increase of Rs 300 has been made in the support price of mustard.

After the government decision, the minimum support price of wheat for the marketing season 2025-26 as compared to 2024-25 has increased by Rs 150 from Rs 2275 per quintal to Rs 2425 per quintal, barley by Rs 130 from Rs 1850 to Rs 1980 per quintal,

gram by Rs 210 from Rs 5440 per quintal to Rs 5650 per quintal, lentil by Rs 275 from Rs 6425 per quintal to Rs 6700 per quintal,

mustard-rapeseed by Rs 300 from Rs 5650 per quintal to Rs 5950 per quintal and the minimum support price of safflower (kardi or kusum) has increased by Rs 140 from Rs 5800 per quintal to Rs 5940 per quintal.

The proposal to increase the minimum support price of Rabi crops was approved in the important meeting of the Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) held today i.e. on 16 October 2024.

It is known that the minimum support price is fixed for some six crops in the Rabi season.
