Rain and Storms Bring Relief from Heat in Many Parts of the Country  

Rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday cooled down weather in many parts of India, limiting extreme heat to dry regions of West and Central India and North Peninsula.  

Heatwave Conditions  
- Severe heatwave recorded in Gujarat, Konkan, and Southwest Rajasthan.  
- Heatwave likely in Vidarbha on Thursday and Friday.  
- Odisha to experience hot winds until Saturday.  
- Hot and humid weather expected in Konkan and Coastal Karnataka on Thursday.  

Heavy Rain in Tamil Nadu  
- South Tamil Nadu and Delta districts received heavy rainfall, especially Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi.  
- Heavy rain likely on Wednesday in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.  
- Kerala and Mahe may receive heavy rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday.  
- Andaman and Nicobar Islands to experience light to moderate rain throughout the week.  

Weather Forecast for Other Regions  
- Rain and thunderstorms expected in Northwest, East, and Northeast India.  
- Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh to witness rain and snowfall for five days.  
- Uttarakhand to receive light to moderate rain and snow from Wednesday for five days.  
- Punjab, Haryana, and West Uttar Pradesh to have light rain and thunderstorms for three days from Thursday.  
- Northeast India: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura to experience thunderstorms and rain for six days.
