Rice sale under OMSS announced for 2025–26 season
★ The government has announced the sale of rice under the Open Market Sale Scheme (OMSS) for the 2025–26 season. The sale will be conducted at different reserve prices based on category and beneficiary type. The details are as follows:

25% broken rice (for private and cooperative buyers via e-auction):
★ Till 31.10.2025: ₹2,800 per quintal
★ From 01.11.2025 to 30.06.2026: ₹2,890 per quintal

10% broken custom milled rice (for private players under the Rice Milling Transformation Scheme):
★ Till 31.10.2025: ₹3,000 per quintal
★ From 01.11.2025 to 30.06.2026: ₹3,090 per quintal

Broken rice produced under Rice Milling Transformation (for private buyers):
★ Till 31.10.2025: ₹2,250 per quintal
★ From 01.11.2025 to 30.06.2026: ₹2,320 per quintal

Rice sale to small private traders from FCI depots:
★ Till 31.10.2025: ₹2,800 per quintal
★ From 01.11.2025 to 30.06.2026: ₹2,890 per quintal

Sale to state governments and their agencies (without e-auction participation) and to community kitchens:
★ Till 31.10.2025: ₹2,250 per quintal (up to 36 lakh tonnes)
★ From 01.11.2025 to 30.06.2026: ₹2,320 per quintal (up to 32 lakh tonnes)

Sale to central cooperatives like NAFED, NCCF, and Kendriya Bhandar for Bharat brand distribution:
★ Till 31.10.2025: ₹2,400 per quintal
★ From 01.11.2025 to 30.06.2026: ₹2,480 per quintal

Sale of rice to ethanol distilleries for ethanol production:
★ Till 31.10.2025: ₹2,250 per quintal (up to 52 lakh tonnes)
★ From 01.11.2025 to 30.06.2026: ₹2,320 per quintal (up to 52 lakh tonnes)

★ For the period till 31.10.2025, transportation costs are not included in the above rates.
★ From 01.11.2025 to 30.06.2026, no additional transportation costs will be added.
