Buenos Aires. The free on board average unit export offer price of soybean oil in the Latin American country Argentina jumped to a high of $1155 per tonne on August 22, but fell to $1120 per tonne on August 26-27.

The offer price of soybean oil for forward deals of September-November is being reported to be $1120-1130 per tonne, which indicates that there may be limited ups and downs in its prices in the coming time.

However, the demand for soybean oil is likely to remain strong in the second half of the year, especially during the festive season in India, but a rise in prices seems difficult.

According to trade analysts, the edible oil market is not driven by past movements but by the current demand and supply equation.

Soybean oil futures prices have softened due to weak trading in the Chicago Exchange. Chinese importers are not buying American soybeans for delivery in the coming months and are increasing imports from Brazil.

In Brazil, the level of mandatory blending of soybean oil in biodiesel has been increased to 15 percent and soon the soybean sowing campaign for the next season is going to start there.

Argentina has produced good soybean this year and the crushing-processing industry is receiving its stock in adequate quantity.

The federal government has reduced the export duty on soy products, due to which the prices of soybean oil are expected to remain stable to a great extent there. It is noteworthy that Argentina is the third largest producer and exporter of soybean in the world after Brazil and America, while it ranks first in the export of soybean oil and soymeal.

In Russia, soybean production is estimated to increase to 84 lakh tonnes in the current marketing season of 2025-26. The price of soybean oil in Razov, located near the Polish border in Ukraine, is being reported to be $ 1180 per tonne and the price of crude soybean oil in Egypt is $ 1080-1100 per tonne.
