Soybean Oil: USDA Report – July 2025
Global
★ According to the USDA July report, global opening stock of soybean oil is estimated at 61.6 lakh tonnes (June: 61.3), production at 710.02 lakh tonnes (June: 707.9), imports at 120.3 lakh tonnes (June: 125.8), domestic consumption at 700.2 lakh tonnes (June: 692.6), and exports at 132.1 lakh tonnes (June: 137.4). The ending stock is projected at 59.7 lakh tonnes (June: 65).
★ Compared to the June report, production and domestic consumption have increased, while imports and exports have decreased—leading to a lower ending stock.

Argentina
★ No significant changes were made in Argentina's figures compared to the June report.
★ The data remains:
Opening stock: 6.8 lakh tonnes
Production: 85.8 lakh tonnes
Domestic consumption: 19.8 lakh tonnes
Exports: 66 lakh tonnes
Ending stock: 6.8 lakh tonnes

★ The July report shows a decline in imports compared to the June figures.
★ Reported data:
Opening stock: 12 lakh tonnes (same as June)
Production: 20.1 lakh tonnes (June: 20.4)
Imports: 41 lakh tonnes (June: 46)
Domestic consumption: 65.5 lakh tonnes (unchanged)
Ending stock: 7.4 lakh tonnes (June: 12.8)
★ The reduction in imports and production led to a significant decline in India’s ending stock.
★ After the release of the USDA oilseeds report, CBOT soybean oil futures showed a decline.
