In Argentina, favorable weather conditions continue to support strong soybean sowing, offering significant advantages for local farmers. About 60% of the soybean sowing has been completed, and the early-planted crops are showing rapid vegetative growth.

A positive outlook is seen in 64% of the cultivated area, while the remaining 36% is considered normal, with no significant issues affecting crop health.

The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange reports that soil moisture levels are largely ideal, with 97% of the country's soils having sufficient moisture.

Only 2% of the areas are experiencing below-normal moisture levels, while 1% has slightly more moisture than needed. These conditions have made sowing and germination easier for farmers, facilitating strong early crop growth.

The US Department of Agriculture forecasts an increase in Argentina's soybean production for the 2024-25 season, from 48.7 million tonnes in 2023-24 to 52 million tonnes.

Argentina's soybean cultivation occurs in two phases, with harvesting preparations beginning in March. Meanwhile, the country's soybean crushing industry is running at a fast pace, providing a solid opportunity for increased exports of soybean oil and meal, particularly to India, which benefits from competitive prices.
