तमिलनाडु में PDS के लिए धान की खरीद घटी
★ 2023-24 सीजन से खरीद 9.26 लाख टन घटकर 34.96 लाख टन दर्ज की गयी। गत सीजन में 44.22 लाख टन खरीद की गयी थी।
★ डेल्टा संभाग जिसमें 10 जिले आते हैं में 4.33 लाख टन अन्य जिलों से 4.93 लाख टन खरीद बीते सीजन से कम।
★ मांग को पूरा करने के लिए एफसीआई को 37.5 लाख टन चावल करना होगा तमिलनाडु को आवंटित।
★ तमिलनाडु कृषि विभाग ने चावल उत्पादन 75-80 लाख टन पहुंचने का दिया था अनुमान।
★ 31 अगस्त तक TNCSC ने 34.96 लाख टन धान की खरीद की जिससे 23-24 लाख टन चावल प्रोसेस किया गया।
★ इसके अलावा तमिलनाडु FCI तेलंगाना से 13-14 लाख टन चावल की खरीद कर सकती है।

★ हैफेड, राजस्थान ने 8000 टन सुगंधा बासमती धान खरीफ 2022 बिक्री के टेंडर किये जारी, यह टेंडर 5 सितम्बर को हैफेड एग्री एक्सचेंज प्लेटफार्म पर 12:00 से 01:00 बजे खुलेगा। कोटा से 1628 टन व बारां से 6372 टन बिक्री मात्रा दी गयी।

Procurement of paddy for PDS reduced in Tamil Nadu
★ Procurement from 2023-24 season was recorded to be 34.96 lakh tonnes. Last season, 44.22 lakh tonnes were procured.
★ In the Delta division, which has 10 districts, 4.33 lakh tonnes were procured from other districts, which is less than the last season.
★ To meet the demand, FCI will have to allocate 37.5 lakh tonnes of rice to Tamil Nadu.
★ Tamil Nadu Agriculture Department had estimated rice production to reach 75-80 lakh tonnes.
★ Till August 31, TNCSC procured 34.96 lakh tonnes of paddy, from which 23-24 lakh tonnes of rice was processed.
★ Apart from this, Tamil Nadu FCI can purchase 13-14 lakh tonnes of rice from Telangana.

★ HAFED, Rajasthan issued tenders for sale of 8000 tonnes of Sugandha Basmati Paddy Kharif 2022, this tender will open on 5th September at 12:00 to 01:00 pm on HAFED Agri Exchange Platform. The sale quantity given was 1628 tonnes from Kota and 6372 tonnes from Baran.
