Urad Price Trend: Up to ₹2300 Decline in One Year
★ India's major markets have witnessed a sharp decline in urad prices over the past year. Compared to 11 July 2024, most markets have seen a drop of ₹1500 to ₹2300 per quintal by 11 July 2025.
★ In Akola, urad prices dropped from ₹9300 to ₹7100, and are now stable at ₹7000 — a total decline of ₹2300.
★ In Latur, prices fell from ₹8500 to ₹7000 — a drop of ₹1500.
★ Mumbai FAQ prices decreased from ₹8950 to ₹6725 — a fall of ₹2225.
★ In Chennai, both FAQ and SQ varieties registered declines of ₹2150 and ₹2250, respectively.
★ Lalitpur also saw a decline of ₹2050 over the year.

International Price Trends:
★ Burma FAQ prices dropped from $1055/MT to $715/MT — a decline of $340.
★ Burma SQ prices fell from $1145/MT to $785/MT — down by $360.
★ Both Indian and international urad markets are experiencing a broad-based decline. The primary reasons include higher production, limited government procurement, and global supply pressure.
