Weekly Report – Fluctuations in Grain Prices
Jowar Mandi Rates  
★ In Jalna Mandi, jowar prices increased from Rs. 4000 per quintal to Rs. 4200 on April 23, but dropped back to Rs. 3800 by April 25.  
In Jodhpur, prices remained stable, consistently at Rs. 2900.  
★ Prices are expected to remain strong in the future.
Maize Mandi Rates  
★ In Delhi Bilty, maize prices fell from Rs. 2550 to Rs. 2450, while in Bhusawal Mandi, a slight increase was seen from Rs. 2300 to Rs. 2310. 
★ Gulabbagh Mandi witnessed a significant drop, with maize prices falling from Rs. 2390 to Rs. 2200 per quintal.  
★ Due to bumper production, increased stock, and alternative options available for ethanol production, there could be pressure on future prices.
Guar Mandi Rates  
★ In Jodhpur and Bikaner mandis, guar prices dropped from Rs. 5300-Rs. 5325 on April 19 to Rs. 5050-Rs. 5000 by April 25.  
★ In Siwani Mandi too, prices fell from Rs. 5100 to Rs. 4950.  
★ Prices are expected to remain within a limited range going forward.
Barley Mandi Rates  
★ In Delhi Alwar, barley prices strengthened from Rs. 2200 to Rs. 2370 per quintal.  
★ In Jodhpur, barley prices remained stable at Rs. 2800.  
★ Prices are expected to stay strong in the coming days.
Bajra Mandi Rates  
★ There was no change in bajra prices in Gulbarga, maintaining a steady Rs. 2800 per quintal throughout the week.  
★ In Delhi, bajra prices dropped from Rs. 2470 to Rs. 2450.  
★ In Jalna, a slight increase was seen, from Rs. 2550 to Rs. 2600.  
★ Prices are expected to remain good in the future.
Wheat Mandi Rates  
★ In Delhi, Rajasthan, and UP markets, wheat prices remained stable at Rs. 2660 per quintal.  
★ In Jabalpur, prices hovered between Rs. 2520 and Rs. 2525.  
★ Kota mill-quality wheat saw a slight dip from Rs. 2424 to Rs. 2415.  
★ In Shahjahanpur Mandi, stability continued with prices at Rs. 2505.  
★ Current prices are considered to be at the bottom, with an expected upward trend, though not likely to touch last year’s record levels.  
★ Good production will ensure smooth availability.
