Lack of buyers weakened the buying of gram

New Delhi. The prices of gram declined last week as buying remained sluggish at higher prices. Due to sluggish demand for gram dal and gram flour, buying by dal millers in gram remained limited, due to which pressure is being seen on gram prices. Light thin material is arriving on Delhi Lawrence Road, the availability of dry and best material remains weak. Due to sluggish demand from dal millers, last week the prices of Delhi gram declined by Rs 200 per quintal and with this decline, the prices at the end of the week reached Madhya Pradesh line Rs 7650/7675 and Rajasthan line Rs 7700/7775 per quintal.

Port

Due to the fall in the price of Desi Chana and increased selling by importers, last week the prices of Mumbai Tanzania Chana fell by Rs. 200 and Australia Chana by Rs. 100 per quintal and with this fall the prices remained at Tanzania Rs. 7200 and Australia Rs. 77550 per quintal at the end of the week.

Rajasthan

Due to increased selling and weak buying, Rajasthan Chana prices fell by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the last week and with this fall the prices remained at Jodhpur Rs. 6500/7400, Jaipur Rs. 7900/7925, Bikaner Rs. 7400/7450, Kishangarh Rs. 7000/7200 and Kota Rs. 6000/7200 per quintal at the end of the week.

Maharashtra

Due to increased selling and weak demand, Maharashtra gram prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the last week and with this decline, the prices remained at Solapur Rs. 6500/8000, Akola Rs. 7675/7750, Nagpur Rs. 7700/7750, Udgir Rs. 6500/7000 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7500/7700 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to lack of buyers, Madhya Pradesh gram prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 200/250 per quintal last week and with this decline, the prices remained at Ashoknagar Rs. 7200/7350, Ganjbasoda Rs. 7200/7400, Katni Rs. 7600/7700 and Indore Rs. 7450/7650 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to weak demand from dal millers, Karnataka gram prices witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the last week and the prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 7500/7800, Bidar Rs. 6165/7602, Gadag Rs. 7254/7666 and Hubli Rs. 6486/7886 per quintal at the weekend.

Others

Due to the impact of all-round fall and weak demand, Raipur gram witnessed a fall of Rs. 200 per quintal during the last week and remained at Rs. 7500/7650 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur gram also declined by Rs. 225 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 7700 per quintal at the weekend.

Gram Dal

Due to sluggish demand, the prices of Gram Dal declined by Rs. 75/150 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Rs. 9100/9475, Bhatapara Rs. 9250/9450, Katni Rs. 9300, Gulbarga Rs. 9300/9400, Jalgaon Rs. 9300, Indore Rs. 9100/9200, Jaipur Rs. 9050 and Kanpur Rs. 8800/8900 per quintal.
