Decline in prices of gram due to sluggish demand
New Delhi. Due to lack of demand for gram dal, buying of gram remained weak this week, due to which the prices of gram declined. Pressure was seen on gram prices due to increased selling by stockists and sluggish demand. Due to sluggish demand from dal millers, Delhi gram prices declined by Rs 225 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices remained at Madhya Pradesh line Rs 7625/7650 and Rajasthan line Rs 7675/7750 per quintal at the end of the week.
Port
Due to the impact of decline in desi gram and weak buying, Mumbai Tanzania gram prices declined by Rs 100 and Australia gram also declined by Rs 100 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Tanzania Rs 7150 and Australia Rs 7450 per quintal at the end of the week.
Rajasthan
Due to increased selling and weak buying, the prices of Rajasthan gram declined by Rs. 100/150 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Jodhpur Rs. 6500/7200, Jaipur Rs. 7825/7875, Bikaner Rs. 7350/7400, Kishangarh Rs. 7000/7150 and Kota Rs. 6000/7200 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to weak demand from dal millers, the prices of Maharashtra gram declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Solapur Rs. 6500/7850, Akola Rs. 7575/7650, Nagpur Rs. 7700/7725, Udgir Rs. 6000/7000 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7600/7800 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying, prices of Madhya Pradesh gram declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices remained at Ashoknagar Rs. 7100/7200, Katni Rs. 7550/7650 and Indore Rs. 7400/7600 per quintal at the weekend.
Karnataka
Due to weak demand, prices of Karnataka gram declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 7700/7900, Bidar Rs. 5560/6873 and Gadag Rs. 7045/7606 per quintal at the weekend.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak demand, Raipur gram declined by Rs. 250 per quintal during the current week and the prices remained at Rs. 7400/7500 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur gram also fell by Rs. 125 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 7650 per quintal at the weekend.
Gram Dal
Due to weak demand, prices of gram dal declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Rs. 8975/9075, Bhatapara Rs. 9200/9400, Katni Rs. 9250, Gulbarga Rs. 9100/9400, Jalgaon Rs. 9200, Indore Rs. 9200/9400, Jaipur Rs. 8925 and Kanpur Rs. 8600/8700 per quintal.
