Decline in prices of gram due to lack of customer support
New Delhi. Due to lack of customer support, prices of gram declined during the current week as well. Demand for gram has remained dull due to which purchases by dal millers have slowed down. Due to which there is pressure on prices. Low storage of pulses in the country: Only 49% of buffer stock target is available. Gram, which is one of the most important crops, has a stock of only 0.31 lakh tonnes while the standard is 10 lakh tonnes – that is, only 3.1% is available. Due to sluggish purchases by dal millers, Delhi gram prices declined by Rs 50/75 per quintal during the current week and at the end of the week, Madhya Pradesh line remained at Rs 5650/5675 and Rajasthan line remained at Rs 5750/5775 per quintal.

Due to increased selling by importers and weak buying, the prices of imported gram declined by Rs. 50 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Rs. 5650 for Tanzania, Rs. 5850 for Nava Seva Australia and Rs. 5700 per quintal for Mundra at the end of the week.
Rajasthan
Due to sluggish demand from dal millers and stockists, the prices of Rajasthan gram declined by Rs. 50/100 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices remained at Rs. 4800/5250 for Jodhpur, Rs. 5750 for Jaipur, Rs. 5300/5600 for Bikaner, Rs. 5200/5350 for Kishangarh and Rs. 4800/5400 per quintal at the end of the week. Due to increased selling pressure and sluggish demand, Maharashtra gram prices declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the weekend prices remained at Solapur Rs. 5500/6100, Latur Rs. 5750/6000, Akola Rs. 5975/6000, Nagpur Rs. 6025/6050 and Ahmednagar Rs. 5300/5500 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to increased selling and weak buying, Madhya Pradesh gram prices declined by Rs. 75/150 per quintal this week and with this rise and fall, the weekend prices remained at Ashoknagar Rs. 5500/5600, Ganjbasoda Rs. 5300/5600, Sagar Rs. 5200/5600, Katni Rs. 5900/5950 and Indore Rs. 5800/6100 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak demand, Raipur gram prices declined by Rs. 75 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 6025/6150 per quintal at the weekend. Whereas Kanpur gram declined by Rs. 150 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 5900 per quintal at the weekend.
Gram dal
Due to the impact of decline in gram and sluggish demand, gram dal prices declined by Rs. 100/150 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Delhi Rs. 6750/7075, Bhatapara Rs. 7150, Katni Rs. 7150, Gulbarga Rs. 6800/7200, Jalgaon Rs. 7150, Indore Rs. 7000/7200, Jaipur Rs. 6675 and Kanpur Rs. 6900/7000 per quintal.
