Gram prices fall due to weak buying

New Delhi. Last week, a bearish environment was seen in the gram market. Due to lack of customer support at high prices and sluggish buying by dal millers, there is pressure on the prices of gram. The demand for pulses and gram flour remains limited, due to which the purchase of gram is not increasing. Meanwhile, pressure has also been seen in the international market. Exporters have reduced the prices and presented cheap offers of gram from Australia and Tanzania. Due to this, the prices of imported gram have also fallen. During the last week, the price of gram at the international level was reduced by 20 to 25 dollars per ton. If the demand does not improve, the prices of gram may soften further in the coming days. Due to slow buying by dal millers, prices of Delhi gram witnessed a fall of Rs. 50/75 per quintal this week and with this fall, the prices remained at Madhya Pradesh line Rs. 6225/6250 and Rajasthan line Rs. 6275/6300 per quintal at the end of the week.
Port
Due to increased selling by importers and weak demand, prices of imported gram witnessed a fall of Rs. 25/50 per quintal last week. And with this fall, the prices remained at Mumbai Tanzania Rs. 6150/6175, Nawasheva Australia Rs. 6225/6250 and Mundra Rs. 6050/6075 per quintal.
Rajasthan
Due to sluggish demand from dal millers and stockists, Rajasthan gram prices witnessed a rise and fall of Rs. 25/50 per quintal this week and with this rise and fall, the prices at the weekend became Jodhpur Rs. 5300/5800, Jaipur Rs. 6350, Bikaner Rs. 5800/6000, Kishangarh Rs. 5700/5730 and Kota Rs. 5300/5700 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to increased selling pressure at higher prices and sluggish buying, Maharashtra gram prices witnessed a fall of Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend became Solapur Rs. 5800/6550, Latur Rs. 6100/6200, Akola Rs. 6400, Nagpur Rs. 6400/6425 and Ahmednagar Rs. 5950/6150 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying, prices of Madhya Pradesh gram declined by 50/100 rupees per quintal last week and with this decline, the prices remained at Ashoknagar 5800/6000 rupees, Ganjbasoda 5500/6000 rupees, Sagar 5400/5900 rupees, Katni 6200/6300 rupees and Indore 6200/6350 rupees per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak demand, prices of Kanpur gram declined by 50 rupees per quintal last week and with this decline, the prices remained at 6325/6350 rupees per quintal at the end of the week. While no increase or decrease was seen in the prices of Raipur gram last week and prices remained stable.
Gram Dal
Due to the fall in prices of gram and sluggish demand, prices of gram dal declined by Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the last week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Rs. 7325/7700, Bhatapara Rs. 7500/7650, Katni Rs. 7600, Gulbarga Rs. 7600/7800, Jalgaon Rs. 7700/8100, Indore Rs. 7700, Jaipur Rs. 7350 and Kanpur Rs. 7200/7250 per quintal.
