Gram prices remain strong due to continued buying
New Delhi. During the current week, the prices of gram remained on the rise due to the strong demand from dal millers and gram flour manufacturers. Due to weak availability of gram, the supply of gram in the market remains weak. In view of the festive season, the demand for gram remains strong, which is supporting the rising prices of gram. Due to better buying by dal millers, the prices of Delhi gram increased by Rs 100 per quintal this week and with this increase, the prices at the end of the week reached Madhya Pradesh line Rs 7875/7900 and Rajasthan line Rs 7950/8000 per quintal.
Port
Due to the support of the rise in the price of Desi Chana and increased buying, the price of Mumbai Tanzania Chana improved by 50 rupees and Australia Chana improved by 50 rupees per quintal this week and with this improvement, the price remained at Tanzania 7400 rupees and Australia 7800 rupees per quintal at the end of the week.
Rajasthan
Due to the increase in the demand of dal millers and gram flour manufacturers, the price of Rajasthan Chana improved by 50/100 rupees per quintal during the current week and with this improvement, the price at the end of the week became Jodhpur 6200/7300 rupees, Jaipur 8000/8050 rupees, Bikaner 7350/7400 rupees, Kishangarh 7000/7350 rupees and Kota 5800/7300 rupees per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to calm selling and strong demand, Maharashtra gram prices have increased by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices at the weekend became Solapur Rs. 6200/7900, Akola Rs. 7800/7850, Nagpur Rs. 7850/7900, Udgir Rs. 6500/7400 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7300/7500 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to better buying, Madhya Pradesh gram prices have increased by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices at the weekend became Ashoknagar Rs. 7400/7600, Bina Rs. 7300/7500, Ganjbasoda Rs. 7100/7400, Katni Rs. 7800/7850 and Indore Rs. 7800/8000 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to increased buying, prices of Karnataka gram witnessed a rise of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and the prices reached Gulbarga Rs. 7900/8100, Bidar Rs. 6240/7461, Gadag Rs. 5712/7607 and Hubli Rs. 6568/7726 per quintal at the weekend.
Others
Due to support of all-round rise and increased buying, Raipur gram witnessed a rise of Rs. 100 per quintal this week and the prices reached Rs. 7700/7850 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur gram also saw an increase of Rs. 100 per quintal this week and reached Rs. 7950 per quintal at the weekend.
Gram Dal
With the support of rise in price of gram, prices of gram dal have increased by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this increase the prices at the weekend became Delhi Rs. 9175/9575, Bhatapara Rs. 9300/9500, Katni Rs. 9300, Gulbarga Rs. 9300/9500, Jalgaon Rs. 9350, Indore Rs. 9400/9600, Jaipur Rs. 9150/9250 and Kanpur Rs. 8900/9000 per quintal.
