Buying of Gram weak at increased prices
New Delhi. Last week, some decline was seen in the prices of Gram due to profit booking at increased prices, increased sales and weak buying. But during the weekend, the demand increased, due to which the prices improved. The demand for Gram dal remains limited, due to which the prices are fluctuating. Due to the sluggish buying by the dal millers, last week, the prices of Delhi Gram fell by Rs. 100 per quintal and with this decline, the prices remained at Madhya Pradesh line Rs. 7775/7800 and Rajasthan line Rs. 7875/7900 per quintal at the end of the week.
Port
Due to the fall in the price of Desi Chana, last week, the prices of Mumbai Tanzania Chana fell by 100 rupees and Australia Chana fell by 100 rupees per quintal. With this fall, the prices remained at Tanzania 7300 rupees and Australia 7700 rupees per quintal at the end of the week.
Rajasthan
Due to the demand of dal millers and gram flour manufacturers, the prices of Rajasthan Chana improved by 50/100 rupees per quintal during the last week and with this improvement, the prices at the end of the week became Jodhpur 6400/7300 rupees, Jaipur 8000/8050 rupees, Bikaner 7400/7450 rupees, Kishangarh 7000/7400 rupees and Kota 6000/7225 rupees per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to calm selling and strong demand, Maharashtra gram prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the last week and with this rise, the prices at the weekend became Solapur Rs. 6500/8000, Akola Rs. 7775/7800, Nagpur Rs. 7900, Udgir Rs. 6500/7200 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7300/7500 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to better buying, Madhya Pradesh gram prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the week and with this rise, the prices at the weekend became Ashoknagar Rs. 7400/7600, Bina Rs. 7300/7500, Ganjbasoda Rs. 7100/7400, Katni Rs. 7800/7850 and Indore Rs. 7500/7700 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to slow buying, prices of Karnataka gram witnessed a rise and fall of about Rs. 100 per quintal during last week and the price remained at Gulbarga Rs. 7700/7900, Bidar Rs. 7039/7419, Gadag Rs. 6212/7509 and Hubli Rs. 6323/7866 per quintal at the weekend.
Others
Due to slow buying, Raipur gram witnessed a fall of Rs. 50 per quintal last week and remained at Rs. 7700/7800 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur gram also witnessed a fall of Rs. 50 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 7850 per quintal at the weekend.
Gram Dal
During last week, the prices of Gram Dal registered an improvement of Rs. 50/100 per quintal and with this improvement the prices at the weekend became Delhi Rs. 9200/9600, Bhatapara Rs. 9400/9550, Katni Rs. 9400, Gulbarga Rs. 9400/9500, Jalgaon Rs. 9400, Indore Rs. 9400/9600, Jaipur Rs. 9150 and Kanpur Rs. 9000/9050 per quintal.
