Moong prices improve due to improved demand

New Delhi. There is a good inflow of new moong in Karnataka and Maharashtra. The buying of new moong by dal millers has remained good due to which the prices of moong remained bullish this week. Due to increased buying by dal millers, the prices of Delhi moong saw an increase of Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and the price reached Rs. 8250/8650 per quintal at the weekend.

Rajasthan

Due to sluggish buying and selling, there was no increase or decrease in the prices of moong in the markets of Rajasthan during the current week and the prices at the weekend remained Jodhpur Rs. 6300/7600, Jaipur Rs. 7400/8400, Merta Rs. 7000/7700, Sumerpur Rs. 7000/7800, Nagaur Rs. 7300/7700 and Kishangarh Rs. 7000/7800 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to sporadic buying, there was an increase of Rs. 100/200 per quintal in the prices of moong in Madhya Pradesh during the current week and the prices at the weekend became Pipariya Rs. 7000/8200, Indore Rs. 7800/8100, Kareli Rs. 6950/8312, Jabalpur Rs. 6000/7700 and Khirkhia Rs. 8000/8200 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to better buying of new moong by dal millers and stockists, Karnataka moong prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 300/500 per quintal this week and at the end of the week, prices of Gulbarga became Rs. 7000/8100, Bidar Rs. 7146/9000 and Gadag Rs. 7318/9358 per quintal.

Maharashtra

Due to better demand, Maharashtra moong prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 200/500 per quintal during the current week and at the end of the week, prices of Latur became Rs. 7000/8500, Akola Rs. 7350/10000, Barshi Rs. 7000/8000, Ahmednagar Rs. 7500/8500 and Dudhani Rs. 7300/8500 per quintal.

Others

Due to support of all round uptrend and improvement in demand, Dahod moong registered an improvement of Rs. 100 per quintal this week and with this improvement the price became Rs. 7800/8000 per quintal at the end of the week.

Moong Dal

Due to normal demand, no increase or decrease was seen in the prices of moong dal during the current week and the price remained stable at Delhi Rs. 10400/13100, Jodhpur Rs. 9950/10250, Jaipur Rs. 10100, Bhatapara Rs. 9800/10300, Jalgaon Rs. 10400 and Indore Rs. 9000/10600 per quintal.
