Moong prices fall due to increased selling pressure
New Delhi. Moong prices have fallen during the current week due to lackluster demand. Due to lack of demand for moong dal, the buying of moong by millers has remained sluggish. Due to which there is pressure on prices. The arrival of new summer moong has started in Madhya Pradesh. Due to which further fall in prices can be seen. Due to weak buying by dal millers, Delhi moong prices have fallen by Rs 100 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices remained at Rs 7500/7800 per quintal.
Rajasthan
Due to increased selling and weak buying, the price of moong in Rajasthan mandis witnessed a decline of Rs. 150/300 per quintal during the current week and the weekend prices remained Jodhpur Rs. 6300/7250, Jaipur Rs. 7000/7700, Nagaur Rs. 7000/8000, Merta Rs. 7300/8100 and Kishangarh Rs. 5000/6700 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
The arrival of new summer moong has started in the producing mandis this week. Seeing the new arrivals, the selling by stockists increased due to which the prices of Madhya Pradesh moong witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and the prices remained at Pipariya Rs. 5500/6800, Indore Rs. 7500/7850, Jabalpur Rs. 5000/7350 and Khirkiya Naya Rs. 7600/7700 per quintal at the weekend.
Karnataka
Due to sluggish selling and buying, no movement was seen in the prices of Karnataka moong during the current week and the prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 3500/8000, Bidar Rs. 6777/7325, Hubli Rs. 6763/7469 and Gadag Rs. 5430/8289 per quintal at the weekend.
Maharashtra
Due to subdued buying, prices of Maharashtra moong witnessed a fall of Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week and at the weekend the prices remained at Latur Rs. 7000/7200, Akola Rs. 6200/8550, Barshi Rs. 6000/7000, Ahmednagar Rs. 6000/7500 and Khamgaon Rs. 6000/7000 per quintal.
Others
Due to lack of demand, there was no increase or decrease in the prices of Rajkot moong during the current week and the prices remained stable at Rs. 7000/7600 per quintal at the weekend.
Moong Dal
Due to sluggish demand, prices of moong dal declined by Rs. 100/150 per quintal during last week and the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Rs. 9850/12100, Jodhpur Rs. 9750/9800, Jaipur Rs. 9500, Bhatapara Rs. 9450/9950, Jalgaon Rs. 10100 and Indore Rs. 9000/9700 per quintal.
