Moong prices in the domestic market maintained an upward trend this week, driven by reduced selling pressure and improved demand. The condition of the Moong crop this season is reported to be unsatisfactory due to a weak monsoon; rainfall deficits in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan have raised concerns regarding production. Amidst the poor crop outlook, stockists and pulse millers remain active. Millers are purchasing according to their requirements, while stockists are limiting sales in anticipation of better prices. This has created supply constraints in the market, providing continuous support to prices. Arrivals of the new Moong crop have commenced in Rajasthan's *mandis* (wholesale markets); however, due to limited initial arrivals and the weak crop, there is currently no downward pressure on the market. The market's future direction will become clearer as arrivals increase and the actual crop situation becomes evident in the coming days. Driven by strong demand from pulse millers, Moong prices in Delhi rose by ₹100 per quintal this week, reaching a range of ₹7,000–₹8,100 per quintal. While increased new arrivals could exert pressure on the market, prices are likely to remain supported if arrivals stay limited and miller demand remains robust.

Due to reduced selling by stockists and rising demand, Moong prices in Rajasthan increased by ₹100–₹200 per quintal this week. Following this rise, prices stood at ₹5,000–₹7,600/quintal in Jodhpur, ₹6,700–₹7,600/quintal in Jaipur, ₹8,200–₹8,600/quintal in Merta, ₹8,000–₹8,500/quintal in Nagaur, and ₹6,700–₹7,700/quintal in Kishangarh.

Driven by increased buying interest, Moong prices in Madhya Pradesh rose by ₹100 per quintal during the week. By the weekend, prices stood at ₹5,500–₹7,700 in Pipariya, ₹7,000–₹7,600 in Indore, ₹5,000–₹7,400 in Jabalpur, ₹5,500–₹7,800 in Harda, and ₹6,000–₹7,626 in Kareli per quintal.

Improved demand led to a rise of ₹100–₹200 per quintal in Maharashtra Moong prices during the week. By the weekend, prices were ₹8,000–₹11,000 in Latur, ₹6,450–₹8,650 in Akola, ₹8,500–₹9,300 in Barshi, ₹7,000–₹10,000 in Ahmednagar, ₹7,000–₹7,925 in Jalgaon, and ₹8,000–₹9,500 in Khamgaon per quintal.

Better buying activity resulted in a ₹100 per quintal increase in Moong prices in Lalitpur this week, bringing the weekend rates to ₹6,800–₹7,300 per quintal.

Supported by the rise in Moong prices and sustained buying interest, Moong Dal prices increased by ₹200–₹300 per quintal during the week. By the weekend, prices stood at ₹10,000–₹12,400 in Delhi, ₹9,200–₹10,100 in Jodhpur, ₹9,300 in Jaipur, ₹9,100–₹10,100 in Bhatapara, ₹9,800–₹9,900 in Jalgaon, and ₹8,700–₹9,700 in Indore per quintal.
