Buying of Moong weakens due to increased selling pressure
New Delhi. Moong prices have declined during the current week due to increased pressure of new moong arrivals and sluggish buying. Arrival of new moong has started in the producing markets of Karnataka and Maharashtra. Due to which arrivals have started increasing in the producing markets. Due to weak demand for moong dal, buying of moong by dal millers has remained slow. Due to which a fall in prices is being seen. Due to weak buying by dal millers, Delhi moong prices have seen a decline of Rs 100/200 per quintal this week and the price remained at Rs 8000/8525 per quintal at the weekend.
Rajasthan
Due to weak demand, the price of moong in Rajasthan's mandis witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and the price at the weekend remained at Jodhpur Rs. 6300/7600, Jaipur Rs. 7400/8500, Merta Rs. 7000/7700, Sumerpur Rs. 7000/7800, Nagaur Rs. 7300/7700 and Kishangarh Rs. 7000/7800 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak demand, the price of moong in Madhya Pradesh witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and the price at the weekend remained at Pipariya Rs. 7000/8100, Indore Rs. 7800/8000, Kareli Rs. 6100/8100, Jabalpur Rs. 6000/7500 and Khirkhia Rs. 8000/8100 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to increased pressure of new moong arrivals in the producing markets and weak buying, Karnataka moong prices declined by Rs. 100/300 per quintal this week and at the end of the week, the prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 6500/7600, Bidar Rs. 6668/9000 and Gadag Rs. 6760/8480 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to sluggish demand, Maharashtra moong prices declined by Rs. 200/400 per quintal during the current week and at the end of the week, the prices remained at Latur Rs. 6000/7800, Akola Rs. 7450/9700, Barshi Rs. 6000/7500, Ahmednagar Rs. 6000/8000 and Dudhani Rs. 7000/8000 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and sluggish demand, Jagraon moong of Punjab witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal this week and with this decline the price remained at Rs. 6000/7900 per quintal.
Moong Dal
Due to the impact of decline in moong and weak demand, the prices of moong dal witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and the prices remained at Delhi Rs. 10400/13100, Jodhpur Rs. 9950/10250, Jaipur Rs. 10100, Bhatapara Rs. 9800/10300, Jalgaon Rs. 10400 and Indore Rs. 9000/10600 per quintal at the weekend.
