Increase in buying of mustard due to possibility of increase in demand of mustard and DOC

New Delhi. Domestic demand for mustard oil and DOC is likely to increase in the coming time, while the arrival of mustard in the markets is decreasing. In recent weeks, there was pressure on the prices of this important oilseed, but due to good quality, its price increased by Rs 100-150 per quintal during the week of 23-29 August.

42% condition mustard

During the week under review, the price of 42 percent condition mustard increased by Rs 100-100 in Delhi and Jaipur to Rs 6100 per quintal and Rs 6225/6250 per quintal respectively. However, the price of average quality mustard softened by Rs 75 in Gujarat but increased in Haryana. There, its price increased by Rs. 100 in Sirsa, Rs. 165 in Barwala, Rs. 75 in Charkhi Dadri and Rs. 50 in Hisar. The price of mustard improved by Rs. 25 in Morena and Porsa Mandis of Madhya Pradesh. The daily arrival of mustard was 500-1000 bags.

Rajasthan

In the most prominent producing state-Rajasthan, the price of mustard increased by Rs. 100 per quintal or more in many mandis, which include Jaipur, Ganganagar, Alwar, Khairthal, Bikaner, Kumbher, Nadwai and Deeg etc. In Bharatpur also, the price of mustard increased by Rs. 91 per quintal.

Uttar Pradesh

Here in Uttar Pradesh, the price of mustard increased by Rs. 150 to Rs. 6250 per quintal in Hapur Mandi and improved by Rs. 125 to Rs. 6575/6800 per quintal in Agra.

Mustard

Due to the increase in the price of mustard, the price of mustard oil also increased by 20 to 40 rupees per 10 kg. The price of expeller in Bikaner jumped by 50 rupees to 1230 rupees per 10 kg. There was a rise of 40 rupees in Bharatpur. In Delhi also, the price increased by 25 rupees to 1200 rupees. The price of mustard oil in Agra, Kolkata, Morena and Khairthal increased by 20 rupees each.

Arrival

During the week of 23-29 August, 2.30-3.00 lakh bags of mustard arrived daily in the markets of major producing states. Each bag is of 50 kg. On August 23 and 24, 2.65 lakh bags each arrived, on August 27, 2.90 lakh bags arrived, on August 28, 1.00 lakh bags arrived and on August 29, 3.00 lakh bags arrived. The domestic and export demand for mustard DOC remained normal.
