Limited fluctuations in mustard prices with normal trading
New Delhi. There is a normal arrival of mustard in important mandis of major producing states and it is being bought well by crushers-processors as well as traders. The minimum support price of mustard is Rs 5950 per quintal while the wholesale market price is running above this. Due to this, there is no need for government agencies to buy mustard from farmers.
42% Condition Mustard
During the week from 7 to 13 June 2025, the price of 42 percent condition mustard increased by Rs 100 to Rs 6550 per quintal in Delhi and improved by Rs 50 to Rs 6675/6700 per quintal in Jaipur. The price of normal average quality mustard saw a rise of Rs 50-100 per quintal at some places and the same softness at other places.
Gujarat / Haryana
Prices in Gujarat's Deesa market rose by Rs 100, but prices in Haryana's Hisar and Sirsa markets fell by Rs 100 each. In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, the price of mustard also rose by Rs 100 to Rs 6300/6400 per quintal.
Rajasthan
Prices in Alwar and Kota, Rajasthan rose by Rs 100 each to reach Rs 6500 per quintal and Rs 6400 per quintal respectively. The price of mustard in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur market rose by Rs 100 to Rs 6700 per quintal and in Agra market it rose by Rs 75 to reach Rs 6950/7325 per quintal.
Mustard oil
There was no significant rise or fall in the price of mustard oil and the price of expeller and crude oil remained almost stable at the old level. In Delhi, expeller improved by Rs 10 to Rs 1380 per 10 kg, while in Mumbai it fell by Rs 20 to Rs 1400. In other centers also, it fluctuated by Rs 5-10 per 10 kg. In Ganganagar, the price was up by Rs 10.
Arrival
At the national level, mustard arrival was 4.25 lakh bags on June 7, 5.25 lakh bags on June 9, 5.00 lakh bags on June 10, 4.50 lakh bags on June 11 and 4.50-4.50 lakh bags on June 12-13. Each bag weighs 50 kg.
Mustard Cake
Due to lack of demand for mustard cake, prices generally fell by Rs 30-40 per quintal. In Delhi, its price fell by Rs 60 to Rs 2691 per quintal. There was complete peace in the mustard DOC. China's demand is being awaited.
