Mustard prices rise due to demand from crushing units
New Delhi. Due to less supply than demand in the markets, reduction in stock with government agencies and high prices of finished products, the price of mustard generally increased by Rs 100-200 during the week of 9-15 August 2025, while in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, it jumped by a huge amount of Rs 950 to Rs 7000 per quintal.
42% condition mustard
By the way, the price of 42 percent condition mustard remained stable at the old level of Rs 7100 per quintal in Delhi and in Jaipur also it improved by just Rs 50 to reach Rs 7450/7475 per quintal.
Haryana / MP / Rajasthan
But the price of mustard of normal average quality increased by Rs 100-150 per quintal in the markets of Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Uttar Pradesh
In Agra Mandi of Uttar Pradesh, its price increased by Rs 100 and reached Rs 7750/8050 per quintal.
Mustard
The minimum support price of mustard is fixed at Rs 5950 per quintal this time, while the price is above this in all the mandis. Due to this, farmers are getting good income. Government agencies like NAFED-HAFED got the opportunity to buy mustard in relatively less quantity, while due to high market price, they are getting a chance to sell their stock quickly.
Mustard Oil
Despite a good rise in mustard prices, a fluctuation of only Rs 10-15 was recorded in the price of mustard oil expeller and Kachi Ghani because its price has already jumped to a very high level. During the week under review, the price of expeller oil in Delhi increased by Rs 15 to Rs 1580 per 10 kg and the price of Kachi Ghani oil in Kota jumped by Rs 65 to Rs 1660 per 10 kg. Expeller strengthened by Rs 20 in Charkhi Dadri.
Mustard Cake (DOC)
Normal business was seen in mustard cake and DOC. Prices of mustard cake increased by Rs 50 to Rs 120 per quintal while there was some rise in mustard DOC as well. Arrival of mustard is decreasing.
