Heavy arrival of new peanuts in Rajkot - Prices fall in Jhansi

New Delhi. The Rajkot market in Gujarat, the leading producer state, has seen a heavy inflow of new peanuts, and buyers are also buying well.
Arrivals
During the week from September 27th to October 3rd, the daily arrival of peanuts in this market increased to 35,000 bags, but due to the balance between demand and supply, peanut prices remained stable at Rs 5,000/6,000 per quintal. Meanwhile, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, prices remained stable at Rs 6,000/6,300 per quintal, but in Bikaner, prices increased by Rs 200 to Rs 5,200 per quintal. In Solapur, Maharashtra, prices remained at Rs 6,500.
Uttar Pradesh
Peanut prices fell by Rs 545 to Rs 4100/4855 per quintal in Jhansi market, Uttar Pradesh, as trading began amid average daily arrivals of 2000-3000 bags. There are reports of sporadic arrivals of new stock there. Meanwhile, prices remained stable in Mahoba and Mauranipur due to low arrivals and limited trading.
Peanut Seeds
However, shelled peanut kernels saw good trading, especially in Bikaner. Due to strong activity by millers/processors and exporters, the price of 40/50 count kernels jumped by Rs 500 to Rs 8000 per quintal, while the price of 50/60 count kernels increased by Rs 400 to Rs 7700 per quintal, and the price of 60/70 count kernels improved by Rs 300 to Rs 7400 per quintal. Prices in Jodhpur remained at the previous level. Due to good business in Nagpur, Maharashtra, the price of 50/60 count grains increased by Rs. 600 to Rs. 10,800 per quintal and the price of 601 count goods increased by Rs. 700 to Rs. 10,200 per quintal. Other markets remained stable.
Groundnut Oil
Loose groundnut oil prices improved by Rs. 10 to Rs. 1300 per 10 kg in Rajkot, Gondal, Junagadh and Jamnagar in Gujarat and the price of oil tin in Rajkot improved by Rs. 10 to Rs. 2090 per 15 kg. Loose groundnut oil prices also increased by Rs. 10-15 per 10 kg in Mumbai and Bikaner, but a decline of Rs. 10-20 was recorded in Newai-Tonk, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Branded Oil
The price of branded groundnut oil remained stable at Rs 2300 per tin (15 litres) in Kota, while the price of filtered groundnut oil in Jaipur and Newai did not see any significant fluctuations.
