Tuvar prices rise due to increased buying
Mumbai. Tuvar prices increased during the current week due to weakening of selling at reduced prices and increased buying. The rising prices of Tuvar got support due to increased activity of dal millers. Chennai Tuvar Lemon registered a rise of Rs 400 per quintal this week due to calm selling by importers and better buying and with this increase the price reached Rs 10175/10200 per quintal at the end of the week. Similarly, Mumbai Sudan Tuvar also registered a rise of Rs 300 per quintal and the price reached Rs 10950/11000 per quintal at the end of the week. While no movement was seen in the prices of African Tuvar this week and the prices remained stable at Mozambique White Rs. 9300/9400, Gajari Rs. 9100/9200, Malawi Rs. 8800/8900 and Dodomo Rs. 9400 per quintal at the end of the week.
Burma
Due to better export demand, a good increase of 60 dollars per tonne was registered in Burma Tuvar this week and with this increase, the price remained at 1225 dollars per ton at the end of the week.
Delhi
Due to the support of the rise in the port and increase in demand, during the current week, Delhi Tuvar Lemon saw a rise of 350 rupees and Desi Tuvar also saw a rise of 300 rupees per quintal and with this rise, the price at the end of the week became Lemon Rs. 10700, Maharashtra Line Rs. 10900 and Karnataka Line Rs. 11000 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to better demand, Maharashtra Tuvar prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 250/450 per quintal this week and the weekend prices became Solapur Rs. 10700/11450, Akola Rs. 11300, Nagpur Rs. 11450/11500, Hinganghat Rs. 9800/11000 and Ahmednagar Rs. 10400/10600 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to increased demand from dal millers, Karnataka Tuvar prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 400/500 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the weekend prices became Gulbarga Rs. 11000/11550, Yadgir Rs. 9999/10399 and Talikot Rs. 10225/10502 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to sporadic buying, Madhya Pradesh Tuvar prices saw an improvement of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this improvement, the prices at the weekend became Rs. 11300/11400 for Katni, Rs. 8000/10600 for Jabalpur, Rs. 8500/10600 for Pipariya and Rs. 8551/10200 per quintal for Kareli.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak buying, Raipur Tuvar fell by Rs. 400 per quintal and remained at Rs. 11100/11400 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur Tuvar also remained sluggish by Rs. 600 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs. 9600 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to support of bullishness in Tuvar and improvement in demand, prices of Tuvar Dal have improved by Rs. 150/300 per quintal during the current week and with this improvement, the prices at the weekend became Delhi Fatka Rs. 15500/16100, Katni Fatka Rs. 14900/15100, Akola Rs. 15000/16400, Latur Fatka Rs. 16200/16400, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 15500/16000 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 15200/15600 per quintal.
